The Position: We are seeking a talented Computational Designer to join our innovative architecture firm. As a Computational Designer, you will play a crucial role in our design process, leveraging computational tools and techniques to explore, visualize, and optimize architectural solutions. Skills and Requirements: • Professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. • 2-5 years of experience in computational design and parametric modeling, preferably in an architectural or design environment. • Proficiency in computational design software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, or similar tools. • Strong understanding of parametric modeling principles and algorithms. • Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, designers, and other stakeholders. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, C#, etc.) is a plus. • Experience in architectural projects in the Middle East region is advantageous. • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (knowledge of Arabic is a plus). • Utilize computational design methods to generate and refine architectural concepts. • Collaborate with architects and other team members to integrate computational solutions into the design process. • Develop parametric models and algorithms to explore various design options and iterations. • Participate in project meetings, contributing computational insights and perspectives. • Stay updated with the latest developments in computational design and integrate innovative approaches into our projects. • Experience of complex large-scale mixed-use, cultural, civic or hospitality projects through all stages of design. • You combine strong aesthetic design, has similar design style as RPA, understand RPA’s design philosophy, sensitivity with technical knowledge, and are a clear communicator.
