The DHA Food Court in Lahore, Pakistan, establishes a dynamic urban hub celebrating culinary experiences and community engagement through a biomimetic architectural language. The fluid forms of the five main buildings, inspired by the flow of water, create a visually engaging aesthetic, further articulated by a diamond pattern derived from Pakistani Islamic architecture and generated through computational design. This geometric motif informs the layout of the buildings and the network of interconnected pathways that traverse the site from ground to rooftop, facilitating pedestrian and bicycle circulation while integrating water features and landscaped areas. This strategy prioritizes universal accessibility and promotes a tranquil, pedestrian-oriented environment. Situated centrally within DHA Lahore, the food court provides a vibrant social node offering diverse culinary options. The project's commitment to sustainability is evident in the specified materials: the ETFE maximizes natural light transmission while minimizing structural weight; eco pact concrete reduces embodied carbon through recycled content; and Hydro media concrete contributes to on-site rainwater harvesting. Furthermore, integrated lighting design ensures a vibrant and inviting atmosphere throughout the day and night, enhancing the food court's function as a dynamic urban oasis.
